A few of things:
First, a fantsy is general considered to be an idyllic thing, where you are content in the moment. Within the fantasy, you wouldn't ask a question about how you got there, and even if you did, you'd be content not to know.
Second, a fantasy is generally full of things you (the one having it) controls, e.g., "I wish we were together," and in the fantasy you are, "I wish so and so was a nice person instead of a jerk," and they are, etc. In this fantasy, the characters suddenly become self aware, and start doing things the dreamer doesn't want. It's rather like reading a book in which a character becomes aware they are in a book, and tries to rip the page out.
Third, the hyperbolic turn towards violence is suprising. I don't know about you, but I don't think my first reaction to discovering I was just a dream would be to use fire to "cleanse this hellish place," and yet both characters (including the one representing the very person having the daydream) are immediately in agreement, "Burn the world!"
Hmm, I think at about sums it up. You?

p.s.: Do you mind if I post this to my blog?

What made you find this one especially amusing? Just curious, I'd like some insight into your humor.
18 Jul 2008 Well, this is an experiment. The blog, and even this block of text. I like to write, and people tell me they like to read, so I am blogging. For 2008, the blog was/is in large part about being deployed overseas, since I was deployed again, this time to Iraq.
